The Northern Rivers Livestock Exchange (NRLX) in Casino is a large, modern saleyard used for selling livestock. With 380 selling pens, a roofed area of 25,896 square metres and a throughput of 120,000 head/annum, it's one of the biggest facilities of its kind in the region.
Prime Sale:
- For fat/slaughter cattle, which are ready for processing or no longer fit for breeding or performing.
- Can also include store cattle (not ready for slaughter yet).
- Held every Wednesday at 7:30am.
- Regular buyers include local processors, butchers, and buyers from NSW and Queensland.
